Not every meal in a slow cooker has to be a meal, it can be bread too! I was rather quite surprised to be able to make bread in the slow cooker! I was amazed how fluffy and soft it was – such a great way to have bread with your meal!
Let’s get started!
I am using homemade dough, but you can use store bought frozen dough if you like.
Place dough in slow cooker lined with parchment. Place more in the middle and leave a border so the dough can expand.

Place lid on. Place on warm setting for one hour with freshly made dough or 1-1/2 hours with cold dough.

Here is the dough after it has risen. It’s so puffy!!

Pour oil over top of dough. I am using butter. Poke dimples into the dough with your finger tips.

Here’s the focaccia so far.

Sprinkle with seasonings of your choice. I am using thyme, chives, oregano, parsley and garlic parmesan seasoning.

Place lid on. Cook on high for 1 to 2 hours or until cooked through.

Here’s the bread after one hour and 40 minutes. It’s browned on the sides, springs back and is cooked through.

Remove from slow cooker. Let cool slightly before slicing.

I waited 25 minutes before slicing. It’s so soft and tastes amazing!

This bread goes perfect with pasta! So delicious!
