I love all things pumpkin spice but often purchasing pumpkin spice anything doesn’t quite taste like it. My daughter and I have tried pumpkin spice lattes from different coffee shops — some had a bit of the pumpkin spice flavor I enjoy and some not so much.
I knew we could create a delicious pumpkin spice syrup at home so we could enjoy pumpkin spice lattes that taste like pumpkin spice and without a long list of all those yucky ingredients!
Let’s get started!
Combine the water, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat.

Add the pumpkin puree.

Add pumpkin pie spice.

Stir well. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer until sugar has dissolved.

Stir constantly so it does not burn.

Bring mixture to a gentle boil and cook 5 minutes, or until slightly thickened.

Remove from heat and let it cool.

Once cooled, pour into a jar.

Use this yummy pumpkin spice syrup in coffee, tea, frothed milk of choice, drizzled over oatmeal or even atop pancakes or waffles.

We used this yummy syrup in a delicious Harvest Apple Pumpkin Punch! So refreshing with a fall time twist!
