It’s fall time and I love mulled juice. I usually prefer using apple juice but a combination of cranberry and apple juice is tasty, as is a combo of apple, orange and cranberry or even plain cranberry. It’s sweet and spicy with a little tang, and simply delicious! It has all the flavours of fall — cinnamon, apples, citrus and cranberries. Not only does it taste great but it makes the house smell like fall!
Let’s get started!
Combine juices in a pot.

Add sliced apple, orange, cranberries, sugar or honey, cinnamon stick and mulling spice. I am using mulling spice tea bags I got a few years ago.

Warm but do not boil. Let steep 15 to 20 minutes.

Pour or ladle into a glass or mug.

Serve warm with a cinnamon stick and sliced fruit like apple or orange. It’s great cold too! Isn’t it such a beautiful color? It’s perfect for fall!

I also made a batch with just apple juice. It’s really good with any juice combination!

It’s such a warming drink to enjoy! We enjoy this delicious mulled juice during the fall and winter months.

Mulled Juice
2 cups apple juice
1 cup orange juice
2 cups cranberry juice – cranberry-raspberry juice is amazing in this mulled juice!
1/4 cup cranberries or a couple tablespoons of dried cranberries
1 orange, sliced — I used half
1 apple, sliced and cored — I used half
1/4 cup to 1/2 cup sugar or honey
1 cinnamon stick
1/2 cup mulling spice* or 2 mulling spice tea bags
* If you do not have mulling tea or spice, you can combine cinnamon sticks, cardamom pods, allspice berries, cloves and star anise in large plastic bag. Crush with rolling pin a few times to break larger spices and release the oils. Add dried orange peel and peppercorns to the bag and toss to mix well. To use, spoon into a tea bag. Use 3 tbsp per gallon juice or 1 tbsp per wine bottle.
