We love an assortment of sweet breads, and these blueberry cinnamon rolls are simply delicious!!They’re soft and tender with a light cinnamon flavor and filled with berries! You get blueberries in every bite! They’re great for breakfast with milk, as dessert or an afternoon snack with a cup of tea or coffee. So good – and I think they’d be even better with cream cheese frosting!
Let’s get started!
Combine warmed milk, melted butter and vanilla.

Stir in sugar.

Add yeast and stir. Let sit 5 minutes.

Add 1 cup of flour and egg. Stir well.

Add another cup of flour and stir.

Add the last cup of flour slowly and stir. If still too sticky add 1/2 cup. I only added half of the cup of flour to start with.

Here’s my dough after the half cup. I think it’s time to knead now. I’ll add more flour if necessary.

Knead until no longer sticky, but just tacky.

Drizzle with oil. Cover and let rise in a warm place for one hour.

Here’s the dough after one hour. Looks great!

Turn dough out onto counter. Roll into a rectangle the best you can.

Spread softened butter over dough.

Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.

Mix berries with flour. Scatter berries over top.

Roll tightly into a log and slice into 12 even pieces. My daughter cut the roll into 10 pieces.

Place in lightly greased baking pan. Let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.

Since the blueberries were frozen, it slowed the rise, but it will continue rising as they cook.
Here’s the rolls after 30 minutes:

Time to bake! Bake at 350F for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.

Let cool 10 minutes. Prepare frosting.

Drizzle frosting over warm rolls before serving.

Yum!! These are so soft and delicious!

And they’re great warm or cold!

It has the right amount of cinnamon (it’s not too overpowering) and the blueberry flavor is quite lovely.
