It’s Slow Cooker Sunday again! I look forward to these slow cooker meals to share with you. Today’s meal is BBQ Roast Beef.
We love roast beef and assortment of ways. Roast beef really is quite versatile. You can use your favorite barbecue seasoning and BBQ sauce or burger seasoning like me. I am using our Homemade Burger Seasoning and adding the burger seasoning to our homemade Catsup from 1846 and using it as a sauce – it’s so good together!
Let’s get started!
Add onion and pepper to slow cooker.

This is the roast I am using – it’s a 4.5 pound Chuck Roast.

Place roast into slow cooker/crock pot. Add water.

Sprinkle with seasoning. You can use BBQ seasoning if you like. I am using Burger Seasoning from Day 4 of the 5 Days of Christmas Gifts. It’s so good! Sprinkle with salt and pepper if needed.

Place lid on and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.

Here’s the roast after 6 hours. I flipped it and sprinkled more seasoning over it.

In the last hour, make a sauce with ketchup, burger seasoning or BBQ seasoning and a cornstarch slurry for the liquid in the beef. I am using our homemade catsup.l mixed with burger seasoning. It’s one of my favorites!

Here’s the roast.

It’s so good and falls apart! I broke it apart with a fork. The rest I sliced up.

Serve with rice and coleslaw – my girls ate the roast beef and coleslaw as a rice bowl.

You can also eat as a beef dip sandwich using the sauce as a jus.

I had it burger style with candied jalapeños we made this summer and some diced garden onion – oh my gosh it was so good!
