Dish Pan Cookies were once a popular cookie, especially at holiday markets! I don’t see them much anymore, but they are a delicious addition to any holiday baking platter though these would be fabulous any time of year!
These cookies taste like a jazzed up chocolate chip cookie with fun add-ins like sprinkles, pretzels, cranberries and an assortment of chocolate goodness!
Let’s get started!
Cream butter and brown sugar together.

Add granulated sugar and beat until creamy.

Add vanilla and stir. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.

Add 1 cup flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Mix well.

Add all the mix-ins. Stir well. You can save a few mix-ins to place on top the cookies before baking if you like.

Add one cup of flour. Stir. Add the last 1/2 cup flour if needed. We used the full amount of flour. The dough is very stiff.

Scoop dough onto cookie sheet. Top with extra mix-ins if you want – we did not.

Bake at 350F for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are golden. Let cool 5 minutes before placing on cooling rack to cool completely.

We just baked a dozen cookies. The remaining cookie dough, we scooped and placed on parchment on a cookie sheet to freeze so we can bake more fresh another day!!

These cookies are so good! I could eat them all!
