We love meatloaf and different variations of meatloaf! I like changing seasonings and toppings to create yummy flavors. This is a really good meal and now that I’ve made it, I would change it up a bit.
These pizza meatloaves are delicious but taste more like spaghetti and meatballs than pizza! Adding bell pepper to the sauce would be great and chopped mushroom to the meatloaf would also be yummy. I’d add slices of pepperoni to the meatloaf – either chopped into the meat mixture, or placed on the sauce then sprinkle the cheese over top before baking. Today I’m sharing my original recipe and I’ll share the new modified version when I make it next! If you make it with pepperoni, mushroom and peppers, please let me know in the comments how it turned out for you!
Let’s get started!
Make pizza sauce by sautéing onion and garlic together. Once onion is tender, add tomato sauce, salt and pepper, pizza seasoning (or rosemary and garlic) and Italian seasoning. Cook 10 minutes. Add Parmesan cheese and stir. Set aside.
Combine ground pork (you could use beef as well), breadcrumbs, milk, pizza seasoning, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Mix well. Shape into large meatballs and flatten slightly. Place in roasting pan. Place lid on. You can also shape into one large meatloaf.

Cook in oven at 350F for one hour.

Flip. Cook for 20 minutes.

Flip again. Put sauce on.

Sprinkle with cheese.

Cook in oven for 15 minutes.

Look at that yummy mini meatloaf! Smells amazing!

I served the pizza meatloaves with oven roasted potatoes, lemon caesar pasta salad, garlic bread and homemade creamed corn. It was all so delicious!
